Job summary

Mercy Medical Center Redding is seeking a Paramedic to provide advanced emergency medical care and transport for critically ill or injured patients in pre-hospital and inter-facility settings.

You will rapidly assess scenes, evaluate conditions, and administer life-saving interventions while safely operating emergency vehicles and documenting care, using expert clinical skills and compassionate communication to ensure optimal patient outcomes.

Qualifications

• High School Graduation and six months experience as a paramedic with an accredited EMS agency or Fire Department; internship may qualify.
• CA paramedic certification upon hire.
• BLS/CPR upon hire.
• ACLS upon hire.
• PALS upon hire.
• CDMC upon hire.
• CA Driver's License upon hire.

Responsibilities

• Maintains established policies, procedures, objectives, quality improvement program and safety standards.
• Performs patient systems assessment/data collection in an ongoing and systematic manner.
• Enters patient data into computerized patient care reporting system so that there are no deficiencies.
• Performs direct patient care and implements patient care in a knowledgeable, skillful, and consistent manner while administering medications and performing procedures.
• Administers medications and performs procedures consistent with Paramedic certification and required protocols.
• Participates in problem identification and patient care planning.
