Job summary

Bunkiegeneral is seeking a qualified Paramedic to provide direct patient care under physician supervision in Louisiana. The role involves assessing patient needs, administering medications, and ensuring compliance with regulations. Candidates must have a valid Paramedic License and excellent communication skills.

This PRN position includes night shifts, and pay details will be discussed during the interview.

Responsibilities

• Provides direct patient care, within their scope of practice, under a physician’s supervision.
• Assists in the assessment of the physical and psychosocial needs of patients.
• Performs clinical job duties as defined in orientation.
• Provides patient care according to hospital policy and procedure.
• Safely administers medications following hospital policy and procedure, within license’s scope.
• Records all documentation accurately in the EHR.
• Demonstrates understanding of and compliance with EMTALA regulations.
• Communicates a positive and caring attitude towards patients and families.

Skills

Education

Graduate from an approved Paramedic Program

Current Paramedic License in the state of Louisiana

Education and Experience

• Graduate from an approved Paramedic Program
• Current Paramedic License in the state of Louisiana
• Registered Paramedic with the National Registry of Emergency Medical Technicians
• Emergency Medical Services (EMS) or Hospital Experience – preferred
