Job summary

Baptist Memorial Health Care in Memphis, TN seeks a Paramedic to provide initial emergency care and continuum of care across neonatal to geriatric patients, both in the pre-hospital setting and the hospital under supervision of a registered nurse or physician.

The role includes working for the Ambulance Service and Emergency Department, completing EMS/hospital forms, maintaining vehicles and equipment, and contributing to improvement of health care delivery.

Qualifications

• BLS within 14 days of hire; ACLS; PARAMED

Performs in the pre-hospital environment to the Paramedic level of training established by state guidelines. Performs in the hospital setting under the direct supervision of a registered nurse or physician as credentialed by the hospital Medical Executive Professional Committee. Performs other duties as assigned.

• A current driver’s license with acceptable driving record as per Ambulance Service Fleet Safety Policies including completion of EVOC or EMD course as required by operating state. (Class F)

Preferred/Desired

Licensure

• Certified in Mississippi, Licensed in Tennessee PALS or PEEP within one year of hire date. NALS and PHTLS preferred.
