American Medical Response in New Haven, CT is hiring Paramedics to deliver compassionate, high-quality patient care. Starting compensation is $32.73+ per hour, with a $10,000 sign-on bonus for full-time Paramedics who commit for two years.

The role involves leading scenes, operating EMS equipment, and coordinating with public safety teams. You will assess calls, provide advanced medical care with defibrillators and IV fluids, communicate with patients, and drive ambulances on 911 responses.

Qualifications

• Minimum qualifications include a State Paramedic License and pediatric/adult emergency care certifications.
• Valid driver’s license with a compliant driving record and ability to pass a physical agility test.
• Healthcare experience preferred; strong patient care and teamwork skills.

Responsibilities

• Assess each call to determine the best course of action and lead the Paramedic team at the scene.

Job Description

IMMEDIATE HIRING!

• Assess each call situation to determine the best course of action while working with progressive Paramedic protocols.
• Utilize your Paramedic skills on medical equipment and procedures including defibrillator, EKG monitor, oxygen and suction devices, and intravenous fluids to provide advanced medical care.
• Communicate with patients and loved ones to provide information and assurance that care is being given.
• Act as Paramedic team leader and take responsibility for the scene and unit management as needed.
• Drive the ambulance on 911 responses.
• Work collaboratively and in a professional manner with all allied health and public safety personnel as well as your fellow Paramedics.
• Participate in community programs to maintain AMR image and establish strong community relations.

Minimum Required Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent (GED)
• State Paramedic License
• PALS certification
• State Driver’s License
• BLS, ACLS, NREMT-Paramedic
• Driving record compliant with company policy
• Pass Physical Agility Test
• Some work experience, preferably healthcare
