Job summary

Global Medical Response (AMR) is seeking Paramedics in Sierra Vista, AZ to provide compassionate, high-quality emergency medical care on scene and during transport. You will lead patient assessments, operate defibrillators and EKG monitors, administer oxygen and IV therapy, and coordinate with public safety teams.

Qualified candidates hold a State Paramedic License, EMS certifications (BLS/ACLS/PALS/NREMT-Paramedic), a valid State Driver’s License, and pass a Physical Agility Test.

Responsibilities

• Assess each call situation to determine the best course of action while working with progressive Paramedic protocols.
• Utilize Paramedic skills on medical equipment including defibrillator, EKG monitor, oxygen and suction devices, and intravenous fluids.
• Communicate with patients and loved ones to provide information and assurance that care is being given.
• Act as Paramedic team leader and take responsibility for the scene and unit management as needed.
• Drive the ambulance on 911 responses.
• Work collaboratively with allied health and public safety personnel and fellow Paramedics.
• Participate in community programs to maintain AMR image and establish strong community relations.
