Job summary

Qualifications

Minimum requirement: high school diploma or GED.
State Paramedic License required.
State Driver's License required.
BLS, ACLS, and NREMT-Paramedic certifications required.
Driving record compliant with policy.
Pass Physical Agility Test.
Some work experience in healthcare preferred.

Responsibilities

Assess each call situation and determine the best course of action with Paramedic protocols.
Use defibrillator, EKG monitor, oxygen, suction devices, and IV fluids for care.
Communicate with patients and families to provide information and reassurance.
Act as Paramedic team leader and manage scene and unit as needed.
Drive the ambulance on 911 responses.
Collaborate with allied health and public safety personnel.
Participate in community programs to maintain AMR image and relations.
