Job summary

St. Joseph Health in Bryan, TX is seeking a Paramedic for the Texas Renaissance Festival 2026 (Sept 21–Nov 29). You will provide advanced emergency medical care and transport to critically ill or injured patients in pre-hospital and inter-facility settings.

Daily duties include rapid scene size-up, patient assessment, ALS transports, IV access, gastric tube placement, and EZ IO, with emphasis on safety and documentation. Requires strong clinical skills and compassionate communication.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED.
• TX Paramedic license upon hire.
• TX driver's license upon hire.
• BLS/CPR certification within 14 days.

Responsibilities

• Assess scenes rapidly to determine patient care needs.
• Provide advanced life support and transport with EMS protocols.
• ALS transports and vascular access (IV).
• Gastric tube placement and EZ IO as needed.

Job Summary and Responsibilities

This is a temporary position for the Texas Renaissance Festival 2026. (September 21st - November 29th)

As a Paramedic, you will provide advanced emergency medical care and transport to critically ill or injured patients in pre-hospital and inter-facility settings.

Every day you will rapidly assess scenes, evaluate conditions, and administer life‑saving interventions, while safely operating emergency vehicles and documenting care.

To be successful, you will demonstrate expert clinical skills, exceptional critical thinking under stress, and compassionate communication, ensuring optimal patient outcomes.

• Personal, crew, patient and bystander's safety: scene size up, emergency scenes are dynamic events; the paramedic should always look out first for their safety and then the safety of others.
• Patient Assessment and delivery of care: provides patient care functions according to protocol, procedure and written directives to level of certification. Performs a patient assessment throughout a call on every patient encountered, providing appropriate treatment and transportation decisions within the PI scope of practice.

Required

Pay Range

$21.85 - $30.87 /hour
