Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED and State Paramedic License.
• State Driver’s License and driving record compliant with policy.
• BLS, ACLS, PALS and PHTLS or ITLS certifications.
• Some healthcare work experience and ability to pass agility test.

Responsibilities

• Assess each call and determine the best action in a 911 system (~17,000 requests/year).
• Provide ALS care and transport with full scope of an Oregon Paramedic.
• Communicate with patients and families to offer information and reassurance.
• Act as Paramedic team lead for scene and unit management as needed.
• Collaborate with allied health and public safety personnel.

RESPONSIBILITIES

• Assess each call situation to determine the best course of action while working with progressive Paramedic protocols in a 911 system running about 17,000 requests per year.
• Utilize your Paramedic skills in a progressive medical system to the full scope of an Oregon Paramedic.
• Communicate with patients and loved ones to provide information and assurance that care is being given.
• Act as Paramedic team leader and take responsibility for the scene and unit management as needed
• Work collaboratively and in a professional manner with all allied health and public safety personnel as well as your fellow Paramedics.

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS

• High school diploma or equivalent (GED)
• State Paramedic License
• State Driver’s License
• BLS, ACLS, PALS and PHTLS or ITLS
• Driving record in compliance with company policy
• Pass Physical Agility Test
• Some work experience, preferably in healthcare
