Atrium Health North Market Network, LLC in Rural Hall, NC is seeking a full-time Paramedic to join our One Health: FM Rural Hall family medicine team. You will provide patient care under Medical Director guidance, administer medications, and ensure safety through data monitoring and timely interventions.

Rotating 12-hour shifts include every other weekend with a pay range of $24.10–$36.15 per hour. This role requires OEMS-certified paramedics, BLS on hire, and CPI within 30 days, with ACLS/PALS

Qualifications

  • Successful completion of a Paramedic Training Program (OEMS approved).
  • CPI course within 30 days of hire.
  • State Paramedic Certification current; National registry preferred.
  • BLS certification on hire; ACLS/PALS within 6 months.

  • Provide patient care per policy and state regulations.

  • Collects data, reads monitors, and intervenes as needed.
  • Evaluate patients and communicate needs to the care team.

Job description

Department: 01120 GCMG One Health: FM Rural Hall - Family Medicine Status: Full time Benefits Eligible: Yes Hours Per Week: 36 Schedule Details/Additional Information: rotating 12-hour shifts including every other weekend Pay Range: $24.10 - $36.15

Major Responsibilities
  • Provides patient care in accordance with policies and state regulations as approved by the Medical Director.
  • Administers medications safely according to policy, and as permitted by facility guidelines under the supervision of the Provider.
  • Collects and communicates data, reads monitors, etc., and responds with correct intervention to ensure optimum patient care and safety.
  • Provides evaluation of patients and communicates to the care team the patient's required needs/care per guidelines.
  • Executes skills as approved by applicable state-OEMS and the Medical Director.
  • Transports patients between designated areas.
  • Performs and maintains competency for Point-of-Care testing as assigned, waived and non-waived, ensuring compliance with Advocate Health policies and with applicable state and federal regulations.
Minimum Job Requirements

EducationSuccessful completion of a Paramedic Training Program (OEMS approved) required. Completion of CPI course required within 30 days of hire.Certification / LicenseCurrent applicable state Paramedic Certification required (National registry preferred). Certification in BLS required on hire. Certification in ACLS and PALS required within 6 months of hire. Affiliation with an EMS agency is required to maintain National Registry Paramedic certification. applicable state state certified paramedics will follow state mandated education requirements for initial and ongoing certification which do not require EMS agency affiliation.

Physical Requirements and Working Conditions

Work requires walking, standing, sitting, lifting, reaching, stooping, bending, pushing, and pulling. Must be able to lift and support the weight of 35 pounds in handling patients, medical equipment, and supplies. Must speak English in good, understandable terms. Intact sense of sight, hearing, smell, and touch. Finger dexterity. Critical thinking and ability to concentrate. Must be able to respond quickly to changes in patient and/or unit conditions.

Preferred Job Requirements

Six months' experience in a pre-hospital environment as a Paramedic preferred.
