Job summary

Mercy EMS seeks a dedicated Paramedic (EMT-P) to provide direct patient care in field operations, assessing, stabilizing and transporting patients across Mercy systems. The role requires state Paramedic licensure, a valid driver’s license, and physical readiness.

Applicants must be 19+, with Hazmat awareness, ACLS at hire, and PALS within 6 months to ensure rapid, high-quality responses in diverse, demanding environments.

Qualifications

• Paramedic (EMT-P) license in the state of practice.
• Valid driving license.
• Hazmat awareness level training required.
• ACLS certification at hire and PALS within 6 months.
• Must meet physical demands and mobility requirements.

Responsibilities

• Provide direct patient care including assessment, evaluation and medical rescue.
• Access, stabilize, evacuate and transport patients to appropriate destinations.
• Coordinate with Medical Director and Mercy EMS protocols.

Education

Paramedic (EMT-P) license in state of practice

Valid driving license

Hazmat awareness level training

ACLS at hire

PALS within 6 months of hire/transfer
