Job summary

Superior Ambulance Service is hiring EMTs and Paramedics across Illinois locations including Elmhurst, Oak Lawn, Des Plaines, Schaumburg and more. Openings offer flexible scheduling, competitive compensation, over time opportunities, and health/dental/life insurance as part of a growing, locally owned EMS provider with a large fleet and hundreds of staff.

Salary ranges from $25.50 to $34.50 per hour for full-time schedules with hourly pay, plus tuition reimbursement and career growth

Qualifications

• NREMT or current state license (or pending).
• Provide medical care at EMT or Paramedic level while transporting patients.
• Possess a valid driver's license and satisfactory driving record.
• Pass pre-employment interview including a physical, lifting exam, drug screen and background check.
• Attend company training and driving course.

Responsibilities

• Provide appropriate patient care as stipulated in training as a Paramedic.
• Provide safe transportation and accurate map reading to locate addresses efficiently.
• Assess a patient and convey the condition to other medical professionals.
• Provide an accurate written report describing condition and treatment.
• Provide appropriate documentation for billing information.
• Maintain vehicle sanitation and monitor fluid levels and gauges.
