Job summary

Prisma Health Urgent Care in South Carolina is seeking a dedicated Paramedic to join our fast-paced clinic. You will prepare patients, triage, document histories in our EMR, and support a wide range of clinical procedures to ensure smooth operations.

The role offers 12-hour shifts (3 days), with no overnights in most schedules, opportunities for growth, and comprehensive benefits. Prior EPIC experience is a plus, and SC licensure is required.

Qualifications

• Completion of an accredited Paramedic program.
• Paramedics must be licensed in the state of South Carolina.
• Proficiency in venipuncture, injections, and clinical procedures.
• Experience with Electronic Medical Records (EPIC preferred).

Responsibilities

• Prepare patients for examinations and treatments.
• Perform triage and take vital signs.
• Document patient history accurately in EMR.
• Collect routine lab specimens (blood, urine, oral swabs).
• Administer medications and injections (IM, subcutaneous, intradermal).
• Start IVs, place catheters, and perform splinting as needed.
• Conduct basic clinical, aseptic, and laboratory procedures.
• Assist with Occupational Medicine services (drug screening, breath alcohol testing, audiograms, PFT).
• Maintain HIPAA and OSHA compliance.
• Perform office duties and operate medical equipment.
• Support quality assurance and CLIA waivers, tracker maintenance.
• Travel to other Prisma Health Urgent Care locations as required.
