Job summary

Metro Paramedic Services, Inc. is seeking a part-time Paramedic/Firefighter for the North Park contract to provide medical care and patient transport within the EMS scope defined by IDPH and the EMS Commission of Illinois.

Applicants must have a Paramedic License, Firefighter certification, CPR, be 21 or older and have at least 2 years of EMS/Fire experience, plus a valid Illinois driver’s license. ACLS/PALS training will be provided by Metro.

Qualifications

• Must hold Paramedic License and Firefighter certification.
• CPR certification required.
• Two+ years EMS/Fire experience preferred.

Overview

Metro Paramedic Services, Inc. contracts with local municipalities to provide Emergency Medical Services, Rescue and/or Fire Services. Much of our proven success is attributable to the exceptional, compassionate customer service provided by our employees.

We are currently seeking a part-time Paramedic/Firefighter for our North Park contract.

The basic function of the Paramedic/Firefighter is to provide medical care and transportation for a patient at the Paramedic/Firefighter (EMT-P) level, within their scope of practice, as stipulated by Illinois Department of Public Health (IDPH) and/or EMS Commission of Illinois.

Qualifications

Paramedic/Firefighter Qualifications:

• Paramedic License
• Firefighter II or Basic Operations Firefighter Certification
• CPR Certified
• 21 Years of age
• At least 2 years experience in EMS/Fire
• Valid Illinois Driver's License
• ACLS (Metro will train)
• PALS (Metro will train)
• Successfully completion of pre-employment physical, drug screen and background check
