Job summary

Clemson University is seeking a Fire & Safety Officer II - Paramedic to provide Fire & EMS response, medical care, hazard control, and prevention programs on campus. The role requires EMS certification, NIMS-ICS training, and the ability to operate under incident command as needed.

Responsibilities include pre-incident planning, public safety education, incident reporting, and ensuring compliance with OSHA programs. Paramedic certification desired; roles may include special event standby.

Qualifications

• EMT-Basic or higher certification required.
• NIMS-ICS 100, 200, 700 & 800 certification.
• Strong incident command and public safety communication skills.
• Experience in fire prevention, EMS, and hazardous materials is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Provide Fire & EMS response including fire suppression and medical care.
• Perform pre-incident planning, fire prevention programs, and public education.
• Maintain compliance with OSHA programs and EMS certifications.
• Respond to fires, disasters, and other emergencies and operate under incident command when required.
