Job summary

Superior Ambulance Service is seeking EMT/Paramedics to provide high-quality patient care and safe transportation across multiple Wisconsin locations. You will accurately assess patients, document medical history and treatments, and ensure proper billing documentation while keeping ambulances clean and well-maintained.

Applicants must hold an NREMT or state license (or be pending) and possess a valid driver's license with a clean driving record.

Qualifications

• NREMT or state license (or pending).
• Ability to provide medical care at EMT or Paramedic level while transporting patients.
• Possess a valid driver's license and satisfactory driving record; operate vehicle in various conditions.
• Pass pre-employment interview including a physical and lifting exam, drug screen, and background check.
• Attend company-provided training and driving course.

Responsibilities

Overview

Openings in multiple locations: Oshkosh, Kaukauna, Menomonee Falls, Milwaukee, Mount Pleasant, Fond Du Lac, Green Bay, Fitchburg, Kenosha, Oak Creek, Janesville, Burlington, and Elkhorn.

Superior employs more than 4,000 licensed EMTs, Paramedics and Nurses, operating a fleet of more than 500 ambulances throughout Illinois, Indiana, Ohio, Michigan, and Wisconsin. Superior also provides Critical Care, helicopter, and fixed wing emergency medical transportation.

EMTs and Paramedics provide safe transportation and quality medical care to sick and injured individuals within the scope of state EMS regulations. Superior provides the highest quality care in emergencies and scheduled medical transports.

Responsibilities

• Provide appropriate patient care as stipulated in training as a Paramedic.
• Provide safe transportation, including accurately discerning street names through map reading, correctly distinguishing house numbers, and addresses of business locations, in the most expedient manner.
• Appropriately assess a patient and accurately convey the condition to other medical professionals.
• Provide an accurate written report describing a patient's condition, medical history, and the treatment provided.
• Provide appropriate documentation for billing information.
• Maintain the vehicle in sanitary condition and monitor all fluid levels and gauges.

Qualifications

• NREMT (National Registry of Emergency Medical Technicians) or current state license (or pending).
• Ability to provide medical care at the EMT or Paramedic level while safely transporting patients.
• Possess a valid driver's license, satisfactory driving record and must be able to safely operate a vehicle in various conditions, including daytime, nighttime, and inclement weather.
• Pass a pre-employment interview including a physical and lifting examination, drug screen, and background check.
• Attend company-provided training and driving course.
