Job summary

All County Ambulance in Dayton, TN is seeking qualified EMT-Paramedics to join a dedicated EMS team. Responsibilities include rapid response, BLS and ALS patient care, and safe operation of EMS units.

You must meet licensing requirements, be able to deploy extended duty periods, and communicate effectively.

Qualifications

  • Must have valid Florida driver's license.
  • EMT-P certification required.
  • EVOC, ACLS, FEMA ICS 100/200/700/800 certifications preferred.
  • Must be able to communicate effectively in English (spoken and written).
  • Willingness to deploy for extended duty periods (e.g., 10–20 days).

Responsibilities

  • Provides emergency and non-emergency ambulance operations in coordination with a partner, prioritizing safety and efficient positioning of units.
  • Responds to assigned calls promptly to assess scene and request additional help as needed.
  • Provides BLS and ALS patient care per procedures and local protocols.
  • Completes medical records and transportation reports.
  • Maintains knowledge of EMT standards of care and equipment functionality.
  • Adheres to safety standards to ensure safety of self, patients, and equipment.
  • Maintains clean, organized units and readiness of equipment and supplies.

Job description

Recruits are expected to be within 8 hours of driving distance to Jacksonville, FL
Duties and Responsibilities:
  • Provides emergency and non-emergency ambulance operations in conjunction with a partner, demonstrates excellent driving judgment and regard for public safety during operation and positioning of unit.
  • Responds to all assigned calls in the most appropriate, safe and efficient manner to quickly assess the scene and request other help if needed.
  • Provides BLS patient care in accordance with established procedures and prescribed local protocols and clinical practices. Diagnoses and treats patients with appropriate techniques, resources and equipment.
  • Provide ALS operations, providing overall care in the areas of patient assessment, packaging and transport.
  • Completes appropriate medical records and transportation reports.
  • Maintains a thorough working knowledge of current EMT standards of care, including equipment function and use.
  • Complies with safety standards to assure safety of self, medical personnel, patient, and equipment.
  • Maintains positive interpersonal relationships with colleagues, EMS Representatives, hospitals and public.
  • Maintains a thorough working knowledge of local geography, including mapping, street, and grid book systems.
  • Maintains units and equipment in a clean, organized and ready condition after each response.
  • Ensures proper fuel, fluid, and tire pressure levels at all times.
  • Promptly reports equipment damage or malfunctions as prescribed.
  • Completes all station duties and maintains crew quarters in clean conditions.
  • Maintaining a clean and complete uniform, personal hygiene, and professional, pleasant and polite demeanor to all persons with whom the individual comes in contact with while on duty.
  • Must be willing to deploy a varying amount of extended time (ex: 10-20 day stretch)
  • Must be able to report to duty within 8 hours of notification
  • Must be at least 18 years of age
  • High School diploma or general educations degree (GED)
  • Must be able to communicate and understand English verbally and in writing
Licenses and Certifications (must be valid, current and/or in good standing)
  • Valid FL Driver's License
  • EMT-P
  • EVOC
  • ACLS
  • FEMA certification (ICS 100, 200, 700, 800, and Intro to HazMat)

Competency in advanced life support skills as defined by the State, the Medical Director(s), and Medical Standards.
