Job summary

AMR is hiring full-time Paramedics to deliver compassionate, high-quality emergency medical care on every shift. The role requires strong clinical skills, situational awareness, and the ability to lead a team on fast-paced scenes.

You will operate medical equipment, coordinate with patients and public safety personnel, and drive the ambulance on 911 responses. A valid state driver’s license, BLS/ACLS, and Kansas Paramedic certification or eligibility are required; PALS preferred.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• Kansas Paramedic certification or eligibility required.
• State Driver’s License required.
• BLS and ACLS required upon hire.
• PALS preferred but not required.
• Driving record pass as per policy.
• Some healthcare experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Utilize Paramedic skills on medical equipment including defibrillator, EKG monitor, oxygen and suction devices, and IV fluids to provide advanced care.
• Communicate with patients and loved ones to provide information and assurance that care is being given.
• Act as Paramedic team leader and take responsibility for the scene and unit management as needed.
• Drive the ambulance on 911 responses.
• Work collaboratively with allied health and public safety personnel and fellow Paramedics.
• Participate in community programs to maintain AMR image and establish strong community relations.

• Communicate with patients and loved ones to provide information and assurance that care is being given.
• Act as Paramedic team leader and take responsibility for the scene and unit management as needed.
• Drive the ambulance on 911 responses.
• Work collaboratively and in a professional manner with all allied health and public safety personnel as well as your fellow Paramedics.
