Job summary

Jackson Community Ambulance, headquartered in Jackson, Michigan, is hiring full-time paramedics for Jackson County operations. Paramedics provide emergent and non-emergent transport under hospital-approved protocols and work 12- or 24-hour shifts.

Qualifications

• Must be at least 18 years old.
• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Valid State of Michigan paramedic license.
• ACLS, CPR, and PHTLS or ITLS certification (PHTLS can be provided upon hire).
• Valid driver’s license and acceptable driving record.
• Physically capable of lifting and moving patients and equipment.
• Ability to pass a company-sponsored background check, drug screen, and physical.
• Ability to work professionally and cooperatively with a diverse range of people.

Responsibilities

• Maintain high clinical standards in all aspects of care.
• Safely drive and operate ambulances.
• Provide convalescent care, transporting patients to and from facilities.
• Proficiently perform patient handling including stretcher operations.
• Treat patients with compassion and respect.
• Interact professionally with patients, families, facility staff, and co-workers.
