Job summary

AdventHealth in Orange City, Florida is seeking a qualified clinical technician to attach and interpret 12-lead EKGs, start cardiac monitoring, and alert the nurse or physician to any abnormalities.

This full-time Day shift role requires a High School diploma or equivalent, BLS, PARA, ACLS, and PALS certifications, plus 1+ year ED or pre-hospital paramedic experience; Monitor Tech cross-training is preferred.

Qualifications

• Must be able to read, write, speak, and have good comprehension of conversational English.
• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• 1+ year ED or pre-hospital paramedic experience required.
• Monitor Tech cross-training preferred.
• Basic computer skills and knowledge of Microsoft Office required.

Responsibilities

• Attach and complete 12-lead EKGs for physicians.
• Initiate cardiac monitoring and report abnormalities.
• Perform venipuncture and insert peripheral IVs.
• Observe infusion sites and manage IV lines per protocol.
• Assist physicians/nurses during procedures and exams.
• Follow CDC isolation guidelines and PPE usage.
• Provide compassionate, patient-centered care and transport as needed.
