Responsibilities

  • Completes accurate patient documentation and reports.
  • Operates EMS systems and assists with data collection.
  • Ensures compliance with regulations and department protocols.

This position provides navigation of medical care and services to the citizens for assigned area(s). Responds to medical emergencies and provides appropriate life support per scope of practice to individuals of injury and/or illness and transports to appropriate medical facility. Work Location: May work at any of the following locations based on operational needs:

Position Summary

At Logan Health, our Paramedics play a vital role in delivering high-quality emergency medical services to the communities we serve. This position provides advanced life support (ALS) care in both pre-hospital 911 response and inter-facility transport settings while supporting patient safety, operational excellence, and compassionate care. The ideal candidate is dependable, detail-oriented, adaptable, and committed to providing exceptional patient care in fast-paced environments.

Qualifications
  • Current Montana Paramedic licensure required.

  • National Registry Paramedic (NRP) certification preferred.

  • Current driver’s license required.

  • Must possess a driving record clear of the following for the past thirty-six (36) months from date of hire:

  • RQI Provider (BLS) certification required within seven (7) days of hire/transfer or prior to independent patient care, whichever comes first.

  • Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) certification required within six (6) months of hire/transfer.

  • Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS) certification required within six (6) months of hire/transfer.

  • Demonstrates a commitment to excellence through high standards and quality outcomes.

  • Ability to act with integrity, kindness, professionalism, and empathy.

  • Excellent organizational and critical thinking skills with the ability to prioritize effectively and work independently as well as collaboratively.

Job Specific Duties
  • Provides advanced life support (ALS) patient care in pre-hospital 911 response and inter-facility transport settings.

  • Completes accurate and timely patient documentation, care reports, and related records.

  • Demonstrates competency with required EMS computer systems and assists with data collection and reporting activities.

  • Ensures compliance with local, state, and federal regulations and department protocols.

  • Demonstrates knowledge and safe operation of ambulances, communication systems, patient care equipment, and extraction equipment.

  • Provides direction and support to stakeholders, public safety personnel, and emergency response teams as appropriate.

  • Performs ALS assessments and interventions for patients requiring advanced levels of care and transport.

  • Assists incident command during emergency scene responses with patient care expertise and coordination.

  • Monitors equipment functionality, reports malfunctions, restocks supplies, and maintains vehicle cleanliness and readiness according to department standards.

  • Demonstrates knowledge of policies and procedures related to patient care, safety, and departmental operations.

  • As applicable to assigned areas, performs Emergency Room Technician support duties including:

  • Maintains regular and reliable attendance as scheduled by department leadership.

Schedule:

Logan Health operates 24 hours per day, seven days per week. Schedules are set to accommodate the requirements of the position and the needs of the organization and may be adjusted as needed.
