Job summary

Parkview Health is seeking a Paramedic for on-site work at our Community Hospital in Columbia City, IN. The Paramedic will deliver quality pre-hospital care, following state EMS standards and Parkview Health EMS Medical Director guidance.

Qualifications include a high school diploma or GED, Paramedic certification, CPR, ACLS, and a valid driver’s license. One year of experience is preferred, with physical requirements including lifting up to 100 pounds and assisting with 300 pounds.

Job Summary:

The Paramedic has the responsibility and accountability for assuring the delivery of quality pre‐hospital care to patients of all ages using proper techniques and following the standards of care as established by Indiana Department of Homeland Security ‑ EMS Division, and the Parkview Health EMS Medical Director(s).

Qualifications

Education:

High school diploma or GED required. Additional post high school education desirable.

License & Cert:

Meets Indiana State Paramedic guidelines and hold a valid state Paramedic certification/license. CPR required. Valid driver's license. ACLS required. Addendums are required for 0153 Nurse Leader, 0249 Registry RN, 0252 Registered Nurse, 0235 Advanced Registered Nurse, and 0236 Expert Registered Nurse. Experience:

One year experience preferred.

Other Qualifications:

Must meet insurability requirements under Parkview Health vehicle and liability insurance policies, without a "driver exclusion", and/or other insurance modifications and/or high risk classification.
