Job summary

Saint Luke's is seeking a Full Time Paramedic to provide advanced ALS care in prehospital and emergency department settings. You will prioritize patient acuity, administer medications, and perform procedures under physician direction.

Work involves assisting RNs and ED providers in delivering rapid, high-quality emergency care across transports and on-scene operations.

Qualifications

• 1 year of prehospital or ED experience.
• Current ALS/BLS/PALS certifications required.
• KS paramedic license/certification per KS BEMS.
• Diploma or equivalent required.

Responsibilities

• Provide advanced ALS care in prehospital and ED environments.
• Triage and prioritize emergencies according to acuity.

Job Description

This a Fulltime position. Provides advanced ALS skills often under arduous circumstances in the prehospital environment. Also provides critical care transportation to appropriate healthcare facilities. Responsible for triage to efficiently assess and prioritize patients according to acuity of their condition to provide emergency care including a variety of invasive and noninvasive procedures administration of medications and any procedures as may be deemed necessary by ordering physician based on practice standards. Assists the RN and ED provider in providing care for patients undergoing emergency care in the emergency department.
