Job summary

Global Medical Response's AMR division is hiring a Paramedic Basic for full-time ambulance service. You will assess calls, provide advanced medical care with defibrillator, EKG monitor, oxygen, and IV fluids, and communicate with patients and families.

You will lead scenes as needed, drive ambulances on 911 responses, and work with allied health and public safety personnel. Florida license required; BLS/ACLS/NREMT-Paramedic; high school diploma.

Qualifications

• State of Florida Paramedic License required.
• High School Diploma or GED required.
• Valid Driver's License required.
• BLS, ACLS, and NREMT-Paramedic certifications preferred.
• Pass Physical Agility Test.

Responsibilities

• Assess each call and determine best course of action with advanced protocols.
• Provide advanced medical care using defibrillator, ECG monitor, oxygen, and IV fluids.
• Communicate with patients and families to reassure care is being provided.
• Lead the Paramedic team on scene and manage unit operations as needed.
• Drive the ambulance on 911 responses.
• Collaborate with allied health and public safety personnel.

• Assess each call situation todeterminethe best course of action while working with progressive Paramedic protocols.


• Utilize your Paramedic skills on medical equipment and procedures including defibrillator, EKG monitor, oxygen and suction devices, and intravenous fluids to provide advanced medical care.


• Communicate with patients and loved ones to provide information and assurance that care is being given.


• Act asParamedicteam leader and take responsibility for the scene and unit management as needed.


• Drive the ambulance on 911 responses.


• Work collaboratively and in a professional manner withall alliedhealth and public safety personnel as well as your fellow Paramedics.

• Participate in community programs tomaintainAMR image andestablishstrong community relations.

MinimumRequiredQualifications:

• High School Diploma or equivalent (GED)

• Some work experience, preferably in healthcare
