Job summary

AMR in Monterey County, CA is hiring Paramedics for full-time or part-time roles, offering a $10,000 sign-on bonus with a 2-year commitment. External new hires earn $37.11–$59.42 per hour, with 12-hour shifts averaging 42 hours per week.

You will deliver advanced patient care, lead on-scene operations, and drive ambulances on 911 calls. Essential qualifications include CA State Paramedic License, CA Driver’s License, and multiple EMS certifications.

Qualifications

• CA State Paramedic License and driver licensure required.
• Current EMS certifications (BLS/ACLS/PALS/PEPP/BTLS or PHTLS).
• Ability to drive ambulance and manage on-scene operations.
• Commitment to safety and compliance with company policy.

Responsibilities

• Assess each call to determine best course of action using paramedic protocols.
• Provide advanced medical care with equipment such as defibrillator, EKG monitor, oxygen, IV fluids.
• Communicate with patients and families to explain care being given.
• Serve as on-scene team leader and manage scene and unit as needed.
• Operate ambulance during 911 responses and coordinate with public safety personnel.
• Engage with community programs to uphold AMR image and relations.

We’re hiring Paramedics that are passionate about delivering compassionate, high-quality service and advanced patient care to our customers.

Responsibilities:

• Assess each call situation to determine the best course of action while working with progressive Paramedic protocols.
• Utilize your Paramedic skills on medical equipment and procedures including defibrillator, EKG monitor, oxygen and suction devices, and intravenous fluids to provide advanced medical care.
• Communicate with patients and loved ones to provide information and assurance that care is being given.
• Act as Paramedic team leader and take responsibility for the scene and unit management as needed.
• Drive the ambulance on 911 responses.
• Work collaboratively and in a professional manner with all allied health and public safety personnel as well as your fellow Paramedics.
• Participate in community programs to maintain AMR image and establish strong community relations.

MinimumRequired Qualifications:

• High school diploma or equivalent (GED)
• CA State Paramedic License
• CA State Driver’s License
• BLS, ACLS, PALS, PEPP, BTLS or PHTLS
• Driving record compliant with company policy
• Pass Physical Agility Test
• ICS 100,200,700 and 800
