Job summary

Sanford Ambulance Fargo is seeking a dedicated paramedic to join our 9-1-1 ambulance service, delivering BLS and ALS care as needed. You will respond to emergencies across the Fargo region, using EMT protocols and EMS software to support rapid, high-quality patient care.

The role requires a licensed paramedic with ND and MN credentials, active certifications (BLS, ACLS, PALS), and a clean driving record. Shifts include 12-hour rotations, with uniforms and ongoing education provided.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• Active Paramedic certification with NREMT by the time of hire.
• Requires current BLS, ACLS, and PALS certification.
• Requires ability to be licensed as a Paramedic in ND and MN with company assistance.
• Must maintain current driver's license and exceptional driving record; MVR check annually.
• Previous Paramedic experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Respond to requests for emergency medical services and provide BLS and ALS as appropriate.
• Demonstrate competency delivering lifesaving interventions on-scene and during transport to hospital ED.
• Maintain equipment and comply with protocols; assist with on-board patient care.

We are a 9-1-1 ambulance service that handles approximately 35,000 calls for service annually in the Fargo, Moorhead, and West Fargo metro area, as well as portions of Cass County, ND and Clay County, MN. Job Description

Paramedics are responsible for responding to requests for emergency medical services and provide both Basic Life Support (BLS) and Advanced Life Support (ALS) care, as appropriate.

Paramedics must demonstrate competency in delivering excellent care to sick and injured patients (adults/children/infants) and possess the knowledge and the necessary skills to provide lifesaving interventions in a pre-hospital setting, both on-scene as well as during transport to a hospital Emergency Department (based on protocols or physician medical direction).

Physical activities include but are not limited to: Considerable use of arms and legs and moving of whole body, such as: climbing, lifting, balancing, walking, stooping and handling materials.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• Must have a thorough knowledge of paramedic principles, practices and techniques, knowledge of how various equipment such as a monitor or defibrillator work and how to troubleshoot problems that may arise.
• Active Paramedic certification with NREMT by the time of hire.
• Requires current Basic Life Support (BLS), Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS), and Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS) certification.
• Requires ability to be licensed as a Paramedic in both ND (ND Department of Health) and MN (Minnesota Office of EMS). This will be obtained with company assistance upon acceptance of job offer.
• Must maintain current driver's license and exceptional driving record for purposes of insurability. Motor Vehicle Records (MVR) check will be completed annually.
• Previous Paramedic experience preferred.
