Job summary

Columbus Regional Hospital is seeking a Part-Time Ambulance Paramedic for the Columbus area. The role involves responding to EMS calls with our ambulance service, operating on-site with rotating shifts and weekend/holiday coverage.

Eligibility includes BLS, PALS, ACLS within specified timelines and paramedic licensure or NRP certification. Shifts are 24 hours per week, with pay differentials for Sundays/holidays and a benefits package for eligible employees.

Qualifications

• Must be eligible for the position and maintain a valid driver’s license and meet hospital liability carrier requirements.
• Within 30 days of hire, must have BLS, PALS, ACLS.
• Within 60 days of hire, must have Indiana State Paramedic License or National Registry Paramedic Certification.

With state-of-the-art equipment, our 12 ambulances provide 911 Emergency Medical Services, BLS Non‑Emergent Ambulance Services, and Special Event Coverage to Bartholomew, Brown, and surrounding counties.

Individual compensation is determined for this position through years of directly relevant experience. The hourly compensation is only a portion of the total rewards package and a comprehensive benefits program is available for qualifying positions.

This position is hourly and eligible for applicable shift differentials and Sunday/holiday premiums.

In a status working at least 16 hours per week, employees are benefit eligible.

What is required for this position:

At time of hire, you must have:

• Be eligible for this position a candidate must possess and maintain valid driver’s license and meet the hospital’s liability insurance carrier requirements.

Within 30 days of hire, you must have:

• Basic Life Support (BLS).
• Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS).
• Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS).

Within 60 days of hire, you must have:

• Indiana State Paramedic License Or National Registry Paramedic Certification with the ability to obtain an unrestricted state license.

This position will require frequent standing, walking talking and listening as well as lifting or moving more than 100 pounds
