Job summary

Kansas Emergency Medical Services Association in Kansas is hiring for EMT-AEMT-Paramedic roles on a full-time, 48/96 schedule (0700-0700). You will respond to calls, maintain equipment, and provide high-quality patient care following established protocols.

Requirements include Kansas EMS certification or reciprocity, AHA BLS, and IS-100/200/700/800 within 6 months. After 6 months, hourly pay ranges from $15.00 to $19.50, with full-time benefits and county protections.

Qualifications

• Current Kansas EMS Certification or eligibility for reciprocity.
• Current AHA Basic Life Support (BLS) Certification.
• Ability to work 48-hour shifts, including weekends and Holidays.
• Valid driver's license with acceptable driving record.
• NIMS/ICS: IS-100, IS-200, IS-700, and IS-800 (within 6 months).

Responsibilities

• Respond to calls while following service guidelines and procedures.
• Daily, weekly, and monthly vehicle and medical equipment readiness checks.
• General maintenance of equipment and vehicles.
• Assessment and treatment of the sick and injured.
• Apply protocol and appropriate standard of care during treatment of patients.
• Quickly return ambulances and equipment to a state of readiness following calls.
• Report all equipment damage, malfunctions, or failures to Administration.
• Always maintain patient confidentiality and professionalism.
• Participate in scheduled service-based training opportunities.
• Be willing to complete various additional tasks as assigned by Administration.
• Follows and adheres to all departmental and county policies and procedures.
