Job summary

Aspen Valley Hospital is seeking a full-time Paramedic to provide basic and advanced life support in pre-hospital and interfacility settings. You will assess patients, determine needed procedures, and coordinate transport with hospital staff and public safety partners.

Requirements include graduation from an accredited Paramedic program, an unrestricted PARA license in Colorado or ability to obtain before start, a valid driver license with 3+ years of driving, and BLS (ACLS/PALS preferred).

Qualifications

  • Graduate of an accredited Paramedic education program.
  • Unrestricted Paramedic license in Colorado or ability to obtain before start date.
  • Current driver license with 3+ years driving experience and acceptable MVR.
  • BLS certification (may be obtained upon hire).
  • ACLS and PALS certifications preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Administers basic and advanced life support in pre-hospital and interfacility settings.
  • Assesses illness/injury and prioritizes required medical procedures.
  • Transports patients to hospitals or treatment facilities.
  • Maintains accurate medical reports, charges, and logs.
  • Coordinates patient transfer via ground or air as needed.
  • Ensures readiness of ambulance and equipment.
