Qualifications

• Must attend training and maintain certification.
• Able to provide out‑of‑hospital care and ambulance transport.
• Must maintain valid telephone number.

Responsibilities

• Provide safe and compassionate medical transportation.
• Lift and carry patients as needed.
• Inspect EMS equipment for readiness.

Skills

General Knowledge of EMS operations

Ability to learn through training

Ability to acquire knowledge of the road/street systems

Education

High School diploma or its equivalent

Valid Health Care Provider level CPR certification

Valid EMT-P certification with the WV OEMS office
