Job summary

Qualifications

• MINIMUM EDUCATION: Graduate of an accredited school of Paramedicine or equivalent.
• PREFERRED EDUCATION: Graduate as Critical Care Paramedic or Flight Paramedic.
• MINIMUM EXPERIENCE: 2 years experience
• PREFERRED EXPERIENCE: 5 years experience with a High Volume EMS System (>7500 Responses per year) or Emergency Department Equivalent.
• REQUIRED CERTIFICATIONS/LICENSURE: Texas State License or Paramedic Certification; PEPP, PHTLS, AMLS.
• REQUIRED COURSES/COMPLETIONS: BLS, ACLS, PALS, and Non-Violent Crisis Intervention within specified timelines.

• Under supervision, provides emergency medical care in the hospital setting.
• Completes established competencies within designated introductory period.
• Coordinates with hospital emergency team to deliver rapid, life-saving interventions.
