Global Medical Response is hiring a Paramedic for a full-time position in Santa Cruz, CA. The role involves delivering advanced patient care, driving 12-hour shifts, and leading on-scene operations with progressive Paramedic protocols.

Responsibilities include assessing calls, operating defibrillators and monitors, and coordinating with healthcare and public safety teams. A state Paramedic license and driver’s license are required.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• State Paramedic License required.
• State Driver’s License required.
• BLS, ACLS, PALS, PEPP, BTLS or PHTLS required.
• Driving record compliant with company policy.
• Pass Physical Agility Test.
• ICS 100,200,700 and 800 required.
• CA Ambulance Driver's License required.
• Medical Examiner's Certificate required.

Responsabilités

• Assess each call situation and determine best action.

• Communicate with patients and families to provide information and reassurance.
• Act as Paramedic team leader and manage scene and unit as needed.
• Drive the ambulance on 911 responses.

• Participate in community programs to maintain AMR image.

• Utilize your Paramedic skills on medical equipment and procedures including defibrillator, EKG monitor, oxygen and suction devices, and intravenous fluids to provide advanced medical care.
• Communicate with patients and loved ones to provide information and assurance that care is being given.
• Act as Paramedic team leader and take responsibility for the scene and unit management as needed.
• Drive the ambulance on 911 responses.
• Work collaboratively and in a professional manner with all allied health and public safety personnel as well as your fellow Paramedics.
• Participate in community programs to maintain AMR image and establish strong community relations.
