Job summary

Baptist Health System in Texas is seeking a qualified Paramedic to provide emergency medical care under physician supervision in a hospital setting. The role requires state licensure as a Paramedic, and successful completion of required certifications; you will work in a high-volume EMS environment and coordinate with the clinical team to deliver rapid, life-saving interventions.

Knowledge of AMLS/PHTLS/PEPP and ACLS/PALS, BLS, and strong patient-care skills are essential.

Qualifications

• MINIMUM EDUCATION: Graduate of an accredited school of Paramedicine or equivalent.
• PREFERRED EDUCATION: Graduate as Critical Care Paramedic or Flight Paramedic.
• MINIMUM EXPERIENCE: 2 years experience
• PREFERRED EXPERIENCE: 5 years experience with a High Volume EMS System (>7500 Responses per year) or Emergency Department Equivalent.
• REQUIRED CERTIFICATIONS/LICENSURE: Texas State License or Paramedic Certification; PEPP, PHTLS, AMLS.
• REQUIRED COURSES/COMPLETIONS: BLS, ACLS, PALS, and Non-Violent Crisis Intervention within specified timelines.

• PHTLS (Pre-hospital Trauma Life Support), AMLS (Advanced Medical Life Support).
• Preferred Certifications/Licensure
• REQUIRED COURSES/COMPLETIONS (e.g., CPR):
• BLS - Must have active healthcare provider Basic Life Support on hire (ARC or AHA); however, must
• have AHA Healthcare Provider BLS within 60 days of hire.
• AHA ACLS must be completed within 60 days of hire or transfer into role.
• AHA PALS must be completed within 60 days of hire or transfer into role.
• Non-Violent Crisis Intervention obtained within 60 days of hire or transfer into role
