American Medical Response in Shasta County, Redding, CA, is hiring Paramedics to provide compassionate, high‑quality patient care on 911 responses. You will assess calls, perform advanced medical interventions, and communicate clearly with patients and families.

The role requires a State Paramedic License, state driver licenses, and relevant EMS certifications. You will lead on-scene operations and work with public safety partners, delivering essential care in a fast-paced environment.

Qualifications

  • State Paramedic License is required.
  • Medical Examiners Card is required.
  • BLS, ACLS, PALS or PEPP, BTLS or PHTLS certifications required.
  • State Driver’s License required.
  • Ambulance Driver's License required.
  • Driving record must be in compliance with company policy.
  • Pass Physical Agility Test required.

Responsibilities

  • Assess each call to determine the best course of action per Paramedic protocols.
  • Use Paramedic skills with defibrillator, ECG monitor, O2, suction and IV fluids for advanced care.
  • Communicate with patients and loved ones to provide information and reassurance.
  • Act as Paramedic team leader and manage scene and unit as needed.
  • Drive the ambulance on 911 responses.
  • Collaborate with allied health and public safety personnel.
  • Participate in community programs to maintain AMR image.

We’re hiring Paramedics that are passionate about delivering compassionate, high-quality service and basic, as well as advanced, patient care to our customers.

Responsibilities
  • Assess each call situation to determine the best course of action while working with progressive Paramedic protocols.
  • Utilize your Paramedic skills on medical equipment and procedures including defibrillator, EKG monitor, oxygen and suction devices, and intravenous fluids to provide advanced medical care.
  • Communicate with patients and loved ones to provide information and assurance that care is being given.
  • Act as Paramedic team leader and take responsibility for the scene and unit management as needed.
  • Drive the ambulance on 911 responses.
  • Work collaboratively and in a professional manner with all allied health and public safety personnel as well as your fellow Paramedics.
  • Participate in community programs to maintain AMR image and establish strong community relations.
MinimumRequired Qualifications
  • High school diploma or equivalent (GED)
  • State Paramedic License
  • State Driver’s License
  • Ambulance Driver's License
  • Medical Examiners Card
  • BLS, ACLS, PALS OR PEPP, BTLS OR PHTLS
  • Driving record in compliance with company policy
  • Pass Physical Agility Test
  • Some work experience, preferably in healthcare
