Job summary

GCEMS is seeking a Wisconsin-licensed Paramedic to join our EMS team. The role requires maintaining EVOC training, operating GCEMS vehicles, and working flexible hours including weekends and holidays.

Candidates should read, write, and speak English well, with strong communication and teamwork. You will assist with scheduling, training, PR, and other GCEMS activities, under supervision as needed.

Qualifications

• WI paramedic licensed and EVOC training required.
• Strong reading, writing and verbal communication skills.
• Ability to represent GCEMS to the public and work under stress.

Responsibilities

• Assist with scheduling (801 and special events).
• Assist chief and officers with GCEMS tasks and projects.
• Review daily run sheets and assist with training classes.
• Contribute to PR and recruiting efforts.
• Support GCEMS activities as needed.

Job description

Basic Requirements

• WI licensed Paramedic. Must maintain this level.
• Clean driving record. Able to drive/operate all GCEMS vehicles.
• Must be at least 21 years of age. Preference given to those 25 years of age or older (Must be approved by insurance company).
• Must maintain EVOC training.
• Working knowledge of radio procedures and etiquette.
• Able to work flexible hours including weekends and holidays.

Equipment and Maintenance Requirements

• Daily check of ambulances for supplies and cleanliness
• Restock/replace missing items.
• Wash/wax ambulances as needed.
• Perform minor maintenance on ambulances, building.
• Assist with inventory/ordering of supplies and equipment.
• Check drug/equipment expiration dates.Replace as necessary.
• Fill and/or change oxygen tanks as needed
• Perform cleanup and disposal of contaminated items as needed.
