Job summary

Stratford Medical Group is seeking a full-time Paramedic to join our clinical team in a men’s sexual health clinic. You will provide advanced medical support, assist physicians with procedures, and help monitor patients with discretion and compassion in a professional setting.

The role requires completing an accredited paramedic training program, current state licensure, and a minimum of two years’ experience.

Qualifications

• Completion of an accredited paramedic training program.
• Current paramedic certification and licensure in the State.
• 2+ years of experience as a paramedic.
• ALS and BLS certification.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, particularly when discussing sensitive health issues.
• High degree of professionalism, compassion, and respect for patient privacy.
• Willingness to continue learning and adapting to new medical treatments.
• Able to listen, identify a need, and offer a solution to a potential patient.
• Computer literate with data entry skills.
• Self-motivated team player.

Responsibilities

• Conduct initial assessments, including vitals and physicals, and review medical history.
• Assist with or perform diagnostic procedures such as blood draws and blood pressure intakes.
• Administer medications and treatments under physician supervision.
• Maintain and sanitize clinic equipment and prepare exam/procedure areas.
• Accurately document patient interactions, treatments, and concerns in the chart.
• Collaborate with physicians, nurses, and staff to provide comprehensive care.
• Adhere to HIPAA and other healthcare regulations to ensure confidentiality and compliance.

Education

JOB SUMMARY:

The Paramedic in a Men’s Sexual Health Clinic provides advanced medial support and patient care services in a specialized clinical setting. This role involves assisting physicians with medical procedures and administering treatments and medications. The Paramedic will also play a key role in patient monitoring, ensuring the highest standards of care and maintaining patient confidentiality.

JOB RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Conduct initial assessments, including taking vital signs and physicals and reviewing patients’ medical history.
• Assist with or perform diagnostic procedures such as blood draws and blood pressure intakes.
• Administer medications and treatments under the supervision of a physician.
• Ensure that clinic equipment and supplies are maintained and sanitized according to procedures and protocols. Assist in the preparation of exam rooms and procedure areas.
• Accurately document all patient interactions, treatments administered, and patient concerns in the patient chart.
• Work closely with physicians, nurses, and clinic staff to provide comprehensive patient care, ensuring that each patient receives personalized and professional attention.
• Adhere to all relevant healthcare regulations, including HIPAA, to ensure patient confidentiality and clinic compliance with industry standards.
