Lancaster County EMS is seeking a Paramedic to deliver Advanced Life Support to residents and visitors. You will work in a team to operate EMS units, respond to calls, provide patient care, and document care accurately while maintaining readiness of ambulances and stations.
The role requires completion of an accredited Paramedic program, SC/National Registry Paramedic credentials, and current BLS/ACLS/PALS certifications, with NIMS and EVOC/CEVO training as preferred qualifications.
Lancaster County is a county-based ALS emergency medical service. Our current shift runs on a 24/48 schedule. In January we will begin integrating into a 24/72 schedule. We have 8 stations and run 9 ALS units, 2 QRV's, and 4 12-Hour units. Our annual call volume runs over 20,300 calls. We offer State benefits including state retirement.
The Paramedic works within a family-oriented environment to deliver emergency care to the citizens and visitors of Lancaster County. As a Paramedic, you will work alongside other healthcare providers in the provision of Advanced Life Support (ALS) and customer service-focused care.
