Job summary

Preferred Home Health Care & Nursing Services is seeking a dedicated Paramedic to provide high-quality patient care in emergency and field settings. You will assess calls, operate defibrillators, EKG monitors, oxygen and IVs, lead scene management, and coordinate with receiving facilities to ensure rapid, safe transport.

Effective communication with patients, families, and public safety teams is essential, as is maintaining compliance with protocols and community outreach.

Qualifications

Job description

Role: Paramedic
Provide compassionate, high-quality patient care utilizing both basic and advanced medical skills. Assess each call to determine the best course of action, operate medical equipment such as defibrillators, EKG monitors, oxygen, suction devices, and IVs. Communicate effectively with patients, families, and healthcare teams, acting as a team leader when necessary. Collaborate professionally with public safety and health personnel, develop triage strategies, and ensure patient safety and protocol compliance. Lift and move patients as needed, coordinate with receiving facilities, and drive emergency vehicles efficiently.

• Current Montana Paramedic Certification or pending application, with valid National Registry.
• Valid State Driver’s License and a clean driving record.
• Certifications in BCLS, ACLS, PALS or PEPP, BTLS.
• Ability to pass drug, background, and physical agility screenings.
