We are seeking a dedicated and skilled Paramedic to join our emergency medical services team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in patient care, with experience in critical care transport and a comprehensive understanding of anatomy and medical procedures. As a Paramedic, you will be responsible for providing high-quality emergency medical care to patients in various settings, including those requiring transport to a Level II Trauma Center.

Responsibilities

  • Provide advanced life support and emergency medical care to patients in pre-hospital settings.
  • Conduct thorough patient assessments to determine the nature and extent of injuries or illnesses.
  • Administer medications and injections as prescribed, ensuring adherence to aseptic techniques.
  • Perform venipuncture for blood draws and intravenous access.
  • Operate emergency vehicles safely while responding to calls for assistance.
  • Collaborate with other healthcare professionals during critical care transport.
  • Maintain accurate patient records and documentation of care provided.
  • Ensure all medical equipment and supplies are properly stocked and maintained.
  • Participate in ongoing training and professional development to stay current with best practices in emergency medicine.

Requirements

  • Valid Paramedic certification and state licensure.
  • Experience administering injections and performing venipuncture.
  • Strong knowledge of anatomy, patient assessment techniques, and critical care protocols.
  • Familiarity with durable medical equipment (DME) used in patient transport.
  • Ability to drive emergency vehicles under various conditions while maintaining safety protocols.
  • Excellent communication skills and the ability to work effectively under pressure.
  • Previous experience in a Level II Trauma Center is preferred but not required.
