GOEBEL FIXTURE COMPANY is seeking a Paramedic to provide emergency care in hospital and pre-hospital settings. Responsibilities include assessment, interventions, and documentation in coordination with the healthcare team.

Required: EMT-Paramedic course completion, Wyoming certification, BLS/ACLS/PALS. Three years of pre-hospital experience preferred; ALS system experience is a plus. This is an on-site PRN position based in Douglas, WY.

Qualifications

• Completion of an approved EMT-Paramedic course.
• Minimum three years of full-time pre-hospital emergency care experience.
• Paramedic experience in a two-tiered non-transport ALS system preferred.
• Current state EMT-Paramedic certification (Wyoming).
• Current BLS, ACLS, PALS certifications and American Heart Association Healthcare Provider Course.

Responsibilities

• Contribute to emergency department patient and family care by gathering and documenting pertinent information and assisting with admissions.
• Maintain emergency equipment and report unsafe or malfunctioning items.
• Demonstrate skills in patient assessment, medications, IV access, and ALS-level interventions with thorough handoff.
• Evaluate patient needs, reassess plans, and adjust interventions as needed.
• Ensure accurate, up-to-date documentation of all care and discharge readiness.
• Maintain current certification, licensure, and professional development through continuing education.
• Serve as a professional role model and support peers.
• Perform ED duties under supervision, including EKGs, blood draws, IV access, and phlebotomy.

RESPONSIBILITIES :

• Maintain emergency equipment in a ready-to-use state and report any unsafe or malfunctioning items.
• Demonstrate skills in patient assessment, medication administration, IV access, and all ALS - level interventions; provide thorough handoff and concise reports.
• Evaluate patient needs, reassess plans of care, and adjust interventions as needed, ensuring overall quality of care.
• Ensure accurate , up-to-date, and complete documentation of all care provided and discharge readiness.
• Maintain current certification, licensure, and professional development through continuing education and skill logs.
• Serve as a professional role model while facilitating problem resolution and supporting peers.
• Perform emergency department duties under appropriate supervision , including EKGs, blood draws , IV access, phlebotomy, specimen collection, and patient care as requested.
• Assist in patient care for diverse emergencies (vascular, thrombolytic, cardiac, respiratory, gastrointestinal, OB/GYN, psych, trauma, pediatric), including critical care monitoring, transfers, and donation protocols are appropriate .
• Exhibit leadership by promoting constructive communication, guiding professional development, and serving as a resource for colleagues.
• Respond promptly and safely to emergency and non-emergency calls, maintain sufficient knowledge of area geography and laws, and ensure proper vehicle operation and safety.
• Complete all reports, vehicle/equipment checklists, and paperwork accurately and within specified timeframes .
• Ensure ambulance and equipment readiness, perform vehicle/equipment checks, restocking, cleaning, and reporting issues promptly.
• Deliver advanced pre-hospital care per paramedic protocols and state regulations , always maintaining professionalism and composure.
• Adhere to all safety training programs and demonstrate mastery of equipment operation, maintenance, infection control, and appropriate body mechanics .
• Follow exposure control plans for bloodborne and airborne pathogens, use barrier equipment, and attend annual education as required .
• Demonstrate respect, courtesy, professionalism, and confidentiality in all interactions with patients, families, visitors, and staff.
• Work effectively as a team member in departmental and hospital initiatives, participating in meetings, supporting policies, and completing assigned duties on time.
