Job summary

AMR is hiring full-time Paramedics to deliver compassionate, high-quality emergency medical care in De Soto and surrounding areas. You will assess calls, lead scenes, drive the ambulance, and use advanced medical equipment to stabilize patients.

We seek team players with a valid Kansas Paramedic certification or eligibility, a valid driver's license, and BLS/ACLS on hire; PALS preferred. You’ll join Global Medical Response’s family delivering dependable patient relocation and urgent services.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• Kansas Paramedic certification or eligibility required for employment.
• State driver’s license is mandatory.
• BLS and ACLS certifications required on hire.
• PALS is preferred but not required.
• Driving record must comply with policy and ability to pass agility test.

Responsibilities

• Assess each call to determine best action under Paramedic protocols.
• Provide advanced medical care using defibrillator, EKG monitor, oxygen, suction and IV fluids.
• Communicate with patients and families to reassure and inform about care.
• Act as Paramedic team leader and manage scene and unit as needed.
• Drive the ambulance on 911 responses.
• Collaborate with allied health and public safety personnel.

FULL-TIME PARAMEDIC$57,200.00 - $69,212.00 / year depending on experience

We’re hiring

Paramedics that are passionate about delivering compassionate, high-quality service and advanced patient care to our customers.

This is a full-time position.

Responsibilities

• Assess each call situation to determine the best course of action while working with progressive Paramedic protocols.
• Utilize your Paramedic skills on medical equipment and procedures including defibrillator, EKG monitor, oxygen and suction devices, and intravenous fluids to provide advanced medical care.
• Communicate with patients and loved ones to provide information and assurance that care is being given.
• Act as Paramedic team leader and take responsibility for the scene and unit management as needed.
• Drive the ambulance on 911 responses.
• Work collaboratively and in a professional manner with all allied health and public safety personnel as well as your fellow Paramedics.

Other Responsibilities

• Participate in community programs to maintain AMR image and establish strong community relations.

Minimum Required

• High school diploma or equivalent (GED).
• Kansas Paramedic certification or eligible for Kansas certification.
• State Driver’s License.
• BLS and ACLS required upon hire.
• PALS is preferred, but not required.
• Driving record compliant with company policy.
• Pass Physical Agility Test.
• Some work experience, preferably healthcare.
