Job summary

Apex Paramedics, LLC is seeking skilled Paramedics to join our team in Colorado Springs. You will perform thorough patient assessments, provide ALS care, load/unload patients safely, and document care while ensuring continuity across staff. Transform patient outcomes with professionalism and adherence to HIPAA.

We offer 8, 10, 12, or 13-hour shifts with day, night, holiday, and weekend options. Compensation ranges from $30–$35 per hour, plus competitive benefits in a fast-growing EMS

Qualifications

• Current state and national paramedic certification.
• ACLS, PALS, and BLS certifications.
• Valid driver''s license.
• Able to pass background checks (including MVR).
• Lift and carry up to 150 lbs with a partner.

Responsibilities

• Conduct thorough patient assessments before and during transport; monitor vitals.
• Provide ALS care as required per guidelines.
• Safely load, secure, and unload patients with stretchers and related devices.
• Communicate effectively with sending/receiving staff for continuity of care.
• Complete all PCRs and required documentation accurately and on time.
• Maintain vehicle cleanliness; perform daily unit inspections and restock after shifts.
• Operate emergency vehicles safely in compliance with laws.
• Adhere to HIPAA and protect patient confidentiality.
• Respond professionally and calmly in all situations.

Key Responsibilities

• Conduct through patient assessments prior to and during transport; monitor vital signs and document changes.
• Provide ALS care as appropriate and within state and company guidelines
• Safely load, secure, and unload patients using stretchers, stair chairs and other patient movement devices.
• Communicate effectively with sending/receiving staff to ensure continuity of care.
• Complete all patient care reports (PCRs) and required documentation accurately and on time.
• Maintain vehicle cleanliness, perform daily unit inspections, and restock after each shift.
• Operate emergency vehicles safely and in compliance with all state and local traffic laws.
• Adhere to HIPAA regulations and maintain strict patient confidentiality at all times.
• Respond professionally

Qualifications and Education Requirements

• Current state and national paramedic certification
• Valid ACLS, PALS, and BLS certification
• Valid drivers’ license
• Able to pass background checks (including MVR in accordance with policy)
• Ability to lift and carry up to 150 lbs with a partner, prolonged physical activity required.

Work Environment & Schedule

• 8, 10, 12 or 13 hours shifts; day, night, holiday, and weekend ability required.
• Exposure to communicable diseases, adverse weather, and physically demanding conditions.
• Compliance with all PPE and infections control protocols is mandatory.

$30 - $35 an hour
