Eric Buchanan & Associates is seeking a paralegal to support disability insurance and ERISA benefits cases nationwide. You will serve as the first client contact, manage deadlines, and coordinate attorney appointments while maintaining a high level of client service.

Qualifications

  • Prior experience in a customer service role within a professional service environment (law firm, medical office, etc.).
  • Excellent telephone demeanor and client-facing communication skills.
  • Punctual and strong attendance history; reliable, consistent performer.
  • Attention to detail, note-taking, organization, multi-tasking, timeliness, and follow-through are strong.

Responsibilities

  • Manage a caseload with multiple deadlines at administrative and court levels.
  • Coordinate attorney appointments for assigned cases.
  • Review case mail daily and update the case management system with deadlines.
  • Develop medical evidence for attorneys to review.
  • File administrative appeals and court filings timely.
  • Communicate and follow up with attorneys, clients, and related parties.
  • Serve as a relationship manager for assigned clients and provide top-notch service.

Your duties and responsibilities include but are not limited to the following:
  • Managing a caseload of files with multiple and often short deadlines at the administrative and court level.
  • Coordinating attorney appointments for assigned cases.
  • Reviewing case mail daily, updating the case management system with deadlines, and keeping the attorneys informed.
  • Developing medical evidence in a case for the attorneys to review.
  • Filing administrative appeals and court filings timely.
  • Communicating, following up, and following through with attorneys, clients, and any party associated with a case.
  • Being a relationship manager for assigned clients and providing them with top-notch customer service.

Pay: $35,000 - $40,000 a year DOE
