Job summary

AbbVie seeks a Paralegal to support the Operations Legal team in managing commercial and operational matters. The role emphasizes drafting, reviewing, negotiating, and administering commercial agreements, including CDAs/NDAs, vendor contracts, and professional services agreements.

Responsibilities include preparing for meetings, maintaining files in compliance with regulations, and collaborating with Attorneys and stakeholders to resolve routine legal issues.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s Degree and/or ABA approved Paralegal Certificate required.
• Minimum 2 years experience within a law firm or legal department of a corporation required.
• Discretion, independent judgment and critical thinking for managing assignments.
• Advanced communication skills to gather information and negotiate on routine matters.

Responsibilities

• Identify and resolve routine issues within area of responsibility using legal knowledge to develop solutions.
• Plan and prepare for meetings with internal and external stakeholders and maintain files.
• Assist in process improvement and resource development for Legal department.
• Assist others with executing legal projects to support department.
• Collaborate with Legal support staff and Attorneys on assigned responsibilities.
• Communicate and collaborate with business stakeholders on projects to solve routine issues.
• Attend cross functional team meetings.
