Segal McCambridge, a national litigation firm is seeking an experienced paralegal to join our general liability / insurance defense team supporting New Jersey matters. This position offers exponential opportunity for someone looking to perform challenging work in a collaborative, team environment within a well-established, but growing organization. The position is based in our Roseland, NJ office, but can be fully-remote.

The successful candidate will take ownership of files and work with the handling attorneys to complete all necessary litigation functions from pleadings through trial preparation.

Desired Skills And Knowledge

• Minimum 3 years’ experience as a paralegal in a civil litigation setting;
• Experience with handling NJ matters, including filing with state and federal courts;
• Strong understanding of civil litigation procedures and legal terminology;
• Excellent organizational and time-management skills with the ability to prioritize tasks and work efficiently under pressure;
• Meticulous attention to detail and accuracy in drafting, editing and proofreading documents;
• Proficiency with Microsoft products (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook), Windows Applications, Internet search engines and electronic court filing and service applications;
• Ability to maintain confidentiality;
• paralegal degree preferred;
• Interpersonal skills necessary in order to communicate with senior level individuals both internally and externally;
• Ability to follow instructions effectively;
• Independent judgment required to plan, prioritize and organize diversified workload;
• Experience with billing and submitting time.
