The Law Office of Bryan Fagan is seeking an Estate Planning & Probate Paralegal in San Antonio. Join a focused team supporting attorneys in estate planning, probate, guardianship, wills and trusts with strong attention to detail and client service.

We value experienced paralegals with TX experience, a paralegal degree or related certificate, and proficiency in Clio and TxDoc. This full-time role offers a structured, supportive environment and opportunities to advance within a growing Texas

Qualifications

  • Minimum 2+ years in estate planning/probate (TX); 5+ years preferred.
  • Associate degree or certificate in Paralegal Studies or Related field.
  • Excellent typing and good MS Office/Google Suite skills.
  • Proficiency with Clio and TxDoc or similar software.
  • Strong attention to detail and ability to multitask.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication.

Responsabilités

  • Support attorneys in estate planning, probate, guardianship, wills and trusts.
  • Draft, format, proofread pleadings, motions, orders and court docs.
  • Prepare and respond to discovery; organize, index and summarize documents.
  • File documents with courts (e-filing and in-person) and track deadlines.
  • Maintain case calendars, hearings, client meetings and court appearances.
  • Prepare trial/hearing binders, exhibits and witness lists.
  • Communicate with clients, courts and opposing counsel professionally.
  • Organize electronic and physical case files for accuracy.
  • Coordinate signing appointments and execution of documents.
  • Perform legal research to support case strategy.
  • Collaborate with attorneys and team to move cases forward.

We operate 16 locations across Texas—including two offices in Houston (Corporate and The Heights) and individual locations in Abilene, Atascocita, Austin, Dallas, El Paso, Fort Worth, Galveston, Humble, Kingwood, Richmond, Rockwall, San Antonio, The Woodlands, and Victoria—with additional expansion planned!

Key Responsibilities

Your role in our mission includes the following responsibilities:

  • Support attorneys in all phases of estate planning, probate, guardianship, wills, and trust matters.
  • Draft, format, and proofread pleadings, motions, orders, and other court documents.
  • Prepare and respond to discovery, including organizing, indexing, and summarizing documents.
  • File documents with the appropriate courts (e-filing and in-person as needed) and ensure compliance with court rules and deadlines.
  • Maintain and update case calendars, including hearings, deadlines, client meetings, and court appearances.
  • Prepare trial and hearing binders, exhibits, witness lists, and related materials.
  • Communicate with clients, courts, and opposing counsel in a professional and timely manner.
  • Organize and maintain electronic and physical case files to ensure accuracy and accessibility.
  • Coordinate signing appointments and assist with execution of estate planning documents.
  • Perform legal research and factual investigation as needed to support case strategy.
  • Collaborate closely with attorneys and other team members to move cases forward efficiently.
  • Other duties as assigned to support the estate planning and probate practice.
Skills, Knowledge and Expertise
  • Must have a minimum of 2+ years of estate planning/probate, experience in TX, 5+ years are most preferred.
  • An Associate's degree or Certificate in Paralegal Studies or a Bachelor's degree in a related field.
  • Excellent typing skills and computer literacy, including a solid understanding MS Office and or Google Suite applications.
  • Proficiency on Clio and TxDoc OR similar software.
  • Demonstrate proficiency to focus on details, handle multiple tasks, and remain highly organized.
  • Excellent verbal/written communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Professional demeanor and positive communicator.
