This is not an entry-level or training role. The successful candidate will function as a trusted right hand, handling day-to-day case management so attorneys can focus on legal strategy and advocacy.

Key Responsibilities

Pleadings, Filings & Legal Drafting

  • Prepare initial drafts of pleadings and legal documents at the direction of and under the supervision of attorneys, including routine pleadings, motions, affidavits, and interrogatories

Case & Matter Management

  • Work closely with attorneys on client matters, including organization and management of case documents
  • Create and maintain litigation logs (e.g., document receipt, privilege, and production logs)
  • Maintain case calendars, deadlines, and tickler systems
  • Prepare, organize, store, and retrieve case files, including pleadings, discovery, exhibits, depositions, and evidence

Discovery & Document Support

  • Draft and assist with discovery requests and responses
  • Prepare, organize, and administer supporting materials and exhibits for depositions, hearings, and trials

Trial & Hearing Support

  • Assist attorneys with trial and hearing preparation, including attending proceedings when required
  • Coordinate filings, exhibits, and logistical needs for court appearances and administrative hearings

What We’re Looking For

The ideal candidate is proactive, organized, and confident in their paralegal judgment. You should be comfortable stepping into matters, identifying issues before they elevate, and maintaining control over deadlines, filings, and case logistics without constant direction
