• Minimum 2 years of paralegal experience in a medium to large law firm or 4 years in-house with a corporate focus.
• Bachelor’s degree; Paralegal certification preferred.
• Working knowledge of capital markets and corporate governance processes.

Responsibilities

• Transaction Support – Assist attorneys in the preparation, review, and organization of documentation for structured finance transactions, including securitizations, warehouse facilities, and forward flows.
• Corporate Formation & Governance – Draft resolutions, certificates, and other governance documents for GoodLeap entities.
• Maintain Document Trackers – Develop, update, and manage trackers for transaction terms, reporting obligations, covenants, and related requirements.
• Process Improvement – Identify opportunities to streamline processes and improve efficiency of the Capital Markets Legal function.
• Cross-Functional Collaboration – Partner with Finance, Treasury, Operations, and Compliance teams to ensure accurate and timely legal support.

As a Paralegal on GoodLeap’s Capital Markets Legal team, you will play a vital role in supporting complex financing transactions and ongoing legal operations that directly impact GoodLeap’s mission of facilitating sustainable home solutions. You will work closely with attorneys, business partners, and external counsel to ensure seamless execution of Capital Market transactions and ongoing compliance with contractual requirements. Essential Job Duties and Responsibilities:

• Transaction Support – Assist attorneys in the preparation, review, and organization of documentation for structured finance transactions, including securitizations, warehouse facilities, and forward flows. Manage checklists, closing deliverables, and electronic transaction binders.
• Corporate Formation & Governance – Draft resolutions, certificates, and other governance documents for GoodLeap entities. Support ongoing compliance with contractual and regulatory obligations.
• Maintain Document Trackers – Develop, update, and manage trackers (utilizing AI tools) for transaction terms, reporting obligations, covenants, and related requirements to ensure compliance and accuracy across deals.
• Process Improvement – Identify opportunities to streamline processes, implement tools, and improve the efficiency of the Capital Markets Legal function.
• Cross-Functional Collaboration – Partner with Finance, Treasury, Operations, and Compliance teams to ensure accurate and timely legal support.

Required Skills, Knowledge and Abilities:

• Minimum 2 years of paralegal experience in a medium to large law firm or 4 years of in‑house legal department with a corporate focus, preferably with capital markets, structured finance, or financial services exposure.
• Bachelor’s degree required; Paralegal certification preferred.
• Working knowledge of capital markets and corporate governance processes.
• Exceptional organizational and project management skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities.
• Strong research, drafting, and proofreading skills.
• Proficiency with project and knowledge management technology tools, including the leveraging of AI tools.
• Ability to work independently, anticipate needs, and proactively resolve issues.
• High attention to detail with a commitment to accuracy.
• Excellent communication skills and proven ability to work effectively across teams.
• A commitment to professionalism and collaboration with teammates.
