Job summary

Talent With Heart is seeking a Personal Injury Paralegal (Plaintiff Side) to support attorneys through intake, discovery, and settlement or trial on Long Island. This in-office role requires coordination with clients, medical providers, and opposing counsel.

The ideal candidate has 4+ years as a Litigation Legal Assistant or Paralegal and a Bachelor's degree or equivalent, with the Westbury office serving as the base of operations.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree or equivalent required.
• 4+ years of experience as Litigation Legal Assistant or Paralegal.
• In-office role required in Westbury, Long Island.

Responsibilities

• Draft, review, and file legal documents including complaints, discovery responses, subpoenas, motions, and settlement agreements.
• Manage case files and maintain accurate and up-to-date documentation.
• Coordinate and schedule depositions, IMEs, and court appearances.
• Request, review, and summarize medical records and bills.
• Communicate with clients to provide case updates and gather necessary information.
• Track case deadlines and ensure timely filings.
• Prepare trial notebooks, exhibits, and other materials for hearings and trials.
• Assist with negotiating and finalizing lien resolutions and settlements

The ideal candidate will support attorneys in all phases of personal injury cases, from intake through settlement or trial. This role requires the ability to work with clients, medical providers, and opposing counsel.

• Request, review, and summarize medical records and bills.

• Assist with negotiating and finalizing lien resolutions and settlements
