Hawkins Parnell & Young LLP is seeking a paralegal with 3–5 years of experience to support a range of practice areas including insurance defense, toxic tort, premises, product and transportation liability. The successful candidate will join a national team of 250 lawyers and staff delivering high-risk litigation and business dispute services across the country and US Territories.

• 3–5 years of paralegal experience in similar practice areas.
• Strong attention to detail.
• Demonstrated initiative and self direction.
• Proficiency in MS Office suite including Outlook Word Excel and PowerPoint.

Responsibilities

• Manage cases including document control, calendaring, docket deadlines, and coordinating local counsel.
• Prepare and organize documents such as forms, charts, letters, etc.
• Review and summarize depositions and records.
• Facilitate expert retention, provide materials to experts, and coordinate expert deadlines.
• Assist with trials by organizing trial documents and exhibits.
• Prepare for depositions and hearings.
• Review and produce documents; draft discovery and pleadings.
• Request and organize records; maintain client files; assist with e-filing.

Hawkins Parnell & Young LLP is seeking a paralegal with 3 5 years of experience The primary practice areas that this position will support include but are not limited to insurance defense toxic tort premise liability product liability and transportation Hawkins Parnell represents a variety of clients from global corporations to small local businesses and individual clients in high risk litigation and business disputes across the country and US Territories The successful candidate will be a part of a national team of 250 lawyers and professional staff coast to coast

What You Will Be Doing

• Managing cases including maintaining document control calendaring docket deadlines and coordinating and monitoring local counsel
• Preparing and organizing documents such as forms charts letters etc
• Reviewing and summarizing depositions and records
• Facilitating expert retention providing materials to experts and coordinating deadlines for expert reports and depositions
• Assisting with trials including organizing trial documents and exhibits
• Preparing for depositions
• Preparing for hearings
• Reviewing and producing documents
• Drafting discovery documents and form pleadingsmotions
• Requesting and organizing records
• Maintaining client records
• Assisting with e filing

What You Need To Bring

• 3 5 years of paralegal experience in similar practice areas
