The Florida Bar in Tallahassee, Florida is seeking a paralegal/legal assistant to provide essential support to Bar counsel. The position requires completion of an accredited paralegal/legal course (JD may substitute) and four years of related experience.
Bilingual English/Spanish is preferred. The role involves pleading preparation, legal research, investigations, trial prep, and monthly memoranda, among other duties.
Minimum starting salary $54,519.76 with an excellent benefits package including employer paid pension contribution | Employees of The Florida Bar are eligible to apply for the Public Service Loan Forgiveness Program (PSLF).
Provides support to Bar counsel.
Completion of an accredited paralegal/legal course of study (proof required at interview). Juris Doctorate will substitute for this education.
Four (4) years of paralegal/legal assistant experience or certified as a Florida Registered Paralegal or Certified Legal Assistant or Juris Doctorate.
Trial/litigation experience and bilingual (English/Spanish) is preferred.
Pleading preparation.
Conducting legal research.
Assisting in investigations and file reviews.
Assisting in trial preparation.
Assisting in preparation and submission of public record reviews.
Assisting in special projects and preparation and submission of monthly memos.
